Dave; If you want to go fast work on those things that are important. In the world of project management, we define the tasks required to acheive the goal. Then we determine which task has to be done first before anything else, then the second, third etc. We find that there is a string of tasks that have to be completed end to end in order to finish fast. That path is called the "critical path," because theses steps must be done to accomplish the goal, and they must be done in a set order, or the goal is a failure. We also find that there are tasks that can be done anytime along the way as long as they are completed by the end.
